Subject:
A Good, Smaller Film
I have to disagree with the previous reviewer. I find this movie to be quite engaging and have watched it several times. I think the characters are good, (the Italian soldier Pollini is fun as is Kipsang ((spelling uncertain)) ). The African setting is convincing and adds an exotic element. And Gene Tierney is beautiful and very good as the daughter of the dead Sheik. This is a small story, not a big war film. Not sure it qualifies as a "B" movie but it's obviously a less expensive film. Henry Hathaway is a director of note. I think it's more of a three star film.

Disappointing
Except for the beautiful Gene Tierney a pretty boring flick and long winded to the point.
